For participants:

  1. How can I login to the conference website?
    Please check your mail inbox, you should find your login details in an email with the subject of: LOGIN DETAILS – ESPCI 2021 – ONLINE
  1. How can I watch the presentations as a participant?
    All participants will log in to the webpage and watch the live sessions via the stream integrated in the website.
  1. How can I ask questions as a participant?
    You can ask questions through the chat system built in the website. You should choose the Session that you would like to watch and click on that submenu under the Live Meeting menu. You should enter your questions to the following chat windows only: Session-1 Chat / Sessions-2 Chat / Sessions-3 Chat
    These chat windows appear after you have clicked on the submenu: Session 1 / Session 2 / Session 3
  1. What should I do if I have technical questions?
    Write in the Common Chat, the moderators will help you.

For speakers/moderators:

  1. How can I join the congress if I will have to moderate, or I am a speaker/included in a roundtable?
    All lecturers and moderators must use the Zoom link to join the live meeting (be aware that there will be separate Zoom links for each presentation, please always use the link given to that specific presentation, which will be sent on each morning before the start of the program) and use the separate chat link (there are also different chats for different sessions) for communication with participants, as the live stream on the webpage will have several seconds delay from the Zoom meeting (and for that reason, it can also cause audio loop problems).
  1. Where should I find the link to join Zoom as a speaker/moderator?
    Check your mail inbox. You will receive the links each morning.
  1. When should I join Zoom as a speaker/moderator?
    You should join Zoom 5-10 minutes before the start of your session. You should give your full name when entering, so that we can identify you.
  1. How will I now that the session is already in live?
    The All sessions will start with an opening slide with the title of the session and name of the moderator, moderators can start speaking when they see this slide.
  1. When will the discussion star?
    Discussion will be at the end of the sessions, after the lectures.
  1. What are my tasks as a lecturer?
    Length of presentation: 8 minute + 2 minute discussion
    Role: Your presentation will be played from the recording you sent (if you didn’t send a recording, you have to hold your presentation live via Zoom). You have to join with the provided Zoom link for the time of the Session where your presentation takes place, so that you can answer any questions of the participants via the live discussion – these questions will be selected and asked by the moderator of the session.
  1. What are my tasks as a poster presenter?
    Length of presentation: 2 minute + 2 minute discussion
    Role: Your presentation will be played from the recording you sent (if you didn’t send a recording, you have to hold your presentation live via Zoom). You have to join with the provided Zoom link for the time of the session where your presentation takes place, so that you can answer any questions of the participants via the live discussion – these questions will be selected and asked by the moderator of the session.
  1. What are my tasks as a Session Moderator?
    Role: Introduction of the session and all of the presentations at the start of the session. The presentations of the session will be played afterwards without any breaks. Discussion will be at the end of the session. You can follow the questions of participants via the link which you find in e-mail. You have to moderate, select and also read out the questions to the presenters. You should remind the participants at the start of the session that they can ask their questions in the chat via the webpage.
  1. Whate are my tasks as a Roundtable moderator?
    Length of roundtable: 30 or 60 minute
    Role: Opening of roundtable, holding of a 5-7 minute summary in the topic of the roundtable, with or without a presentation. If you have a presentation you can hold it by sharing you screen via Zoom. In the remaining time you can discuss the questions you sent in advance. You can also include the questions in a presentation and share it with screen sharing.
  1. What are my tasks as a Roundtable participant?
    Length of roundtable: 30 or 60 minute
    Role: Participation in the discussion according to the pre-formulated questions.
  1. What are my tasks as a Keynote Speakers?
    Length of presentation: 30 minute
    Role: You will hold your presentation live via Zoom, by sharing your screen. There won’t be discussion at the end of your presentation.
  1. What are my tasks as a Head-to-Head Session participant?
    Length: 30 minute
    Role: You should create a presentation for your questions and share it via Zoom. You should write 8-10 questions, in topics you would like to discuss with your partner.
